Lago by Julian Serrano is a fine-dining Italian restaurant located inside the Bellagio Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Conceived by two-time James Beard Foundation Award–winning chef Julian Serrano, it serves modern small-plate Italian cuisine paired with cocktails and wines, all set against the backdrop of the resort’s world-famous dancing fountains. Since opening in 2015, it has become one of Las Vegas’s signature fountain-view dining experiences.

Concept and Cuisine

Lago showcases Milan-inspired “piccoli piatti,” encouraging guests to share a variety of dishes. The menu blends coastal Italian flavors with contemporary presentation, crudos of salmon or tuna, seafood risotto, pizzette topped with truffle or smoked salmon, and hearty mains like veal piccata and braised short rib “ossobuco-style.” Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available.

Design and Atmosphere

Designed by the Toronto firm Studio Munge, the space draws on early-20th-century Italian Futurism, featuring a colorful 1,500-square-foot mosaic map of Milan, sculptural lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Bellagio fountains. The restaurant offers both indoor dining and an outdoor patio positioned directly over Lake Bellagio.

Cocktails and Wine

Lago’s mixology program is integral to its identity, incorporating edible garnishes and culinary elements in drinks such as the Serrano Negroni aged in Spanish leather or the dessert-style Tiramisu cocktail. The wine list spans about 750 labels, emphasizing Italian varietals alongside select California and Oregon producers.

Dining Experience

Open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, Lago pairs refined yet relaxed service with panoramic water-show views that repeat every 15–30 minutes. It attracts both gourmands and travelers seeking an elegant, scenic meal that fuses culinary innovation with one of Las Vegas’s most iconic settings.
